Casting Teens in Open Auditions for “Wonderama”

“Wonderama” has a rich history and it has been entertaining children for a period of over two decades. It is now making a comeback on television and therefore, requires the casting of talented young individuals. The age limit for the casting is from 9 to 15 years. It is a wonderful opportunity to get your kids the necessary exposure to become successful in their talent and be able to pursue a career in their passion by meeting important personalities and receiving their long term support.

About the Show

“Wonderama” was a very famous children’s show that aired from 1955 to 1986 which is a long running time for such a show. The show used to run a one hour program in the 60’s with a special Sunday program of three hours. It had numerous hosts but Sonny Fox and Bob McAllister remain the most popular hosts. The show was later hosted by children and teens who took part in it. The show was famous for receiving distinguished guests from all around the country.

About the Casting

The casting directors are looking for kids that have any kind of talent. The number of fields is quite vast and the casters aim to include talented teenagers with exceptional skills in the following disciplines:

  • Art
  • Dance
  • Music
  • Cooking
  • Science

All you need to show to get selected is a special talent. Casters are especially looking for children and teenagers who are extremely passionate about their talent and have a significant degree of technical expertise. The casting call however is only directed at individuals who live in New York City.

About the Auditions

There are two auditions that are held on the 25 and 26 of June at TBA Manhattan and Menlo Park Mall in Edison, New Jersey respectively. Auditions will carry on from 11:30 am in the morning and end around 1:30 pm in the afternoon.

Parents should email the details of their children as quickly as possible on the given address. The description should include the full name of the child. It should also declare the child’s age as well as the area of residence.

The email should also contain a photo of your child. A head shot is sufficient for the purpose and full body pictures are not required.

Important Things to Include

Parents must include a short video film attached with the email or if it is present online, then its link should be given in the email. This short video should clearly describe the talent of your child and visibly show him or her indulging in the activity. Parents must remember that this casting is not for a paid role.
