MTV2 and Nick Cannon have announced that they will be joining forces to bring back Wild’N Out. Set for a 2013 return, the new version of Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out will of course feature the return of Nick Cannon, but the new series will focus more on Cannon searching across the country for the next big thing in comedy as he finds the newest upcoming comedic talent to join him on the show. You may remember that the Wild’N Out was a rap battle that pitted a red squad of comedians against a blue squad in battles that included one revolving celebrity participant per team. The return of the show will be produced by Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment and the casting directors are now looking for male and female contestants that are looking to be on the show. This is a great opportunity for comedians and rappers who have been waiting for their big break.
The improv based show originally ran for four seasons and witnessed the rise of several comedians through its ranks. Wild’N out is similar in premise to game-type shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the show pins two teams of comedians, the “Red Squad”, captained by Cannon and another guest celeb. ”Black Squad” led by a celebrity guest, against each other in a series of Wild ‘n Out games . Kevin Hart, Katt Williams and SNL’s Taran Killiam were on the teams that went head-to-head in sketches on the original run of the show.
The casting directors are now on a national search for male and female contestants for the return of Wild’N Out on MTV2. I guess I can start of by saying i’m not on hear like everyone else trying to promote themselves or get a shot. I’m actually doing this for my little brother. He has been rapping since Walkmans was out. I’m 31 now and he’s 25, but i remember being jits and he would walk around free styling and recording himself on a walkman flowing so much till he would run out of tape and have to turn it over. He never really tried to prosue the rapping thing it was just something he was good at. In highschool he turned our grandparents shed into an actual homemade studio and his friends dudes would pay him just to come over and record. He would create the beats, edit, adlive, whatever, and put it on a CD when he was done. He always just been a hard working boy, never no time to do what he love. But lately I been noticing he been trying to get back into the swing of things. He has done a few performances and freestyle battles on radio shows and YouTube shows. But I think this would be a big opportunity for him to be heard. He has skills, but I just don’t think his ambition is high enough because he worry more about a 9-5 and taking care of his son. Which he should be. Most of all, I just know my brother could go somewhere with his rapping if he is heard somewhere besides our small town Gainesville.

Hey cast and crew of Wild n Out. My name is Darniel Mojica. I’ve been doing music and acting for 8 years. My favorite things to do are improvising. I think that it’s one of the most creative and spontaneous things to do and it’s a true test of skill. I really want to be able to one day be a part of the show as a guest. I have been acting since I was in Pre-K, an improv actor since elementary school, a singer since elementary school, and a freestyle rapper since high school. Needless to say, my imagination and verbal creativity is quick and accurate, with a laugh to follow.
Currently I am in a professional improv group called The Drop Your Jaw Improv Group in Westchester County, NY. I am a senior member and have played a lot of improv games in and out of my group. Plus, the group uses my freestyle rapping for as many games as possible. Needless to say, I feel I can benefit Wild N’ Out greatly. We have a show coming up if you are interested in checking myself and my fellow performers out. The shows are February 10th at 9pm and 11th at 7pm, located at Horse Trade Theater Group’s Under Saint Marks Theater, 94th Street Marks Place. By all means come and check us out.
