Manly Men Men Men, Manly Men Men, ‘Two and a Half’ that is! This well known show went from Charlie Sheen and his infamous public breakdown, to the young “That 70’s Show” ‘Prankster’ Ashton Kutcher in less than a years timespan. CBS and Warner Bros. Television reached it’s breaking point in 2010 and 2011 and broke a barrier to change pace on their hit series “Two and a Half Men” by letting go of their star Charlie Sheen. The American television sitcom premiered 9 years ago and was received well by audiences worldwide. In the past the sitcom has been nominated for 30 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe nominations. With the departure of Sheen, Season 9 has come to an array of mixed reviews by fans and television critics.
The show is about a writer’s life and how it changes after his brother and his brother’s son move in with him. The show stars Jon Cyer, from the 1980s hit “Pretty in Pink”, Angus T. Jones, and recently Ashton Kutcher, from the sitcom “That 70’s Show” and films like the “Butterfly Effect”. Notable stars that were also featured on some episodes of the episodes include John Amos, Gary Busey, Denise Richards, Brooke Shields, and even rockstar Steven Tyler. Creators Chuck Lorre, who is responsible for two other Television shows “Dharma and Greg” and “The Big Bang Theory”, and Lee Aronsohn are constantly pushing for innovative script ideas. With that said, producers are constantly seeking new faces, new talent, and fresh ideas for the show.
“Two and a Half Men” is now in the process of booking auditions for an open casting call for the show. They are looking to fill principal, feature, and extras roles. In specific, casting directors are looking for attractive women between the ages of 21 and 35 years old to play Ashton Kutcher’s love interest. This is expected to be an ongoing role, possibly 5 episodes total. A great opportunity for talent looking for national exposure. Auditions are expected to be held in Los Angeles, California.
