The client for Ray-Ban Sunglasses is putting together an audition and casting for a brand new print advertisement. Those sexy specs everyone is wearing nowadays are being sold worldwide! American brand of sunglasses by Bausch & Lomb was found in 1937 and sold recently in 1999 to an Italian Group called Luxottica. Ray-Ban is known to not only provide protected against the sun but also provide a very sophisticated look to all of it’s customers. The lenses are made light and filter out infrared and ultraviolet rays. In 2007 Ray-Ban marketed the brand to be more refreshing and compelling to younger people. With that success, there has been tons of celebrity buzz about the brand as well. Celebrity use has been prominent throughout the years including various musicians wearing the brand such as Bob Marley to Bob Dylan. John Belushi and Dan Akroyd wore them in their famous film” The Blues Brothers”. The most famous movie character that wore the Ray-Ban brand sunglasses was definitely in the film “Risky Business” with Tom Cruse. From Michael Jackson, Elvis Costello, and The Ramones have all been a part of the marketing campaign and have been fans of the brand. Their internet advertising campaign has also been successful throughout the years along with their virtual mirror for the actual sunglasses where guests of the site can view the sunglasses in 3d and different ways before purchasing a pair.
With the idea still running from the summer music festival sponsorship, Ray-Ban Sunglasses wants to support more young musicians and record their sessions for online streaming as well. Casting directors are looking for singers, people part of a band, musicians, and various talented people who would be interested in auditioning and then possibly shooting the advertisement for their online virtual display along with in store marketing. All talent should have somewhat of a musician background and be over the age of 16. If you are under 18 you do need a parent or guardian permission before submitting your information over to the casting department. The casting directors will look through everyone’s submission and go from there in deciding who they would like to audition with and possibly cast for the shoot. Every talent interested in the promo advertisement for Ray-Ban should submit their information out immediately with the best way to contact you. Good luck!
