A film adaptation of the hit 2006 film productions, “Rock of Ages” is currently under production and is set to be released in late 2012. The film will feature none other than Tom Cruise, Diego Boneta, Julianna Hough, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and many more. Production of this film is being ran by Warner Bros. and new Line Cinema. Adam Shankman will be directing the film.
The film recently ran into some controversy when filming in downtown Fort Lauderdale had a photography ban had been put into effect during the shoot. This resulted in police officers being hired to help enforce the temporary ban & caused many local photographers and local media to go as far as filing a lawsuit with the city.
Filming began June 1st at Revolution Live, a venue in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Filming will continue for the next few months and extras are on demand from the casting directors of the film. Also actors who are considered to be a triple threat, that includes singing, dancing and acting. If you are interested in auditioning for a role in the movie project please submit your information and a head shot to the casting department. After all of the talent submitted are processed, they will get a chance to audition for the casting directors. Other talent may just be booked as extras for the film. Talent ages 4 and up are welcome to apply. Must have an open schedule and time to commit to the production. Filming will be in the Fort Lauderdale area, so talent should preferably be from there.
