HBO Film Confirmation Casting Call for Extras

HBO is filming Confirmation in the Atlanta area and is seeking extras to portray for an upcoming scene.

Confirmation is a film based on the scandal surrounding the nomination of Judge Clarence Thomas to the United States Supreme Court which is called into question when a former colleague, Anita Hill, testifies that he sexually harassed her.

In 1991, then President George W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas to succeed retiring Associate Justice Thurgood Marshall on the Supreme Court. Thomas’ nomination is called into question when an FBI interview with Anita Hill was released to the press. During the hearings Anita testified Thomas sexually assaulted her when he was her direct supervisor at the Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Kerry Washington will portray Anita Hill in the HBO film, Washington portrays Olivia Pope on the hit ABC series Scandal. Wendell Pierce will portray Clarence Thomas, Pierce portrayed Rev. Hosea Williams in the highly acclaimed film Selma.

Casting Details

The casting team with Tammy Smith Casting has released a casting call for extras to portray hotel workers in an upcoming shoot. The team is seeking extras between the ages of 21 to 55 who are Hispanic, African American, Asian and Caucasian. Extras must be local to the Atlanta area.

MEN-conservative hair lengths (can be slightly longer, but not below the ears) – facial hair – neat, mustache or beard (close) only
NO bald men unless you are naturally bald, older, etc…
WOMEN- natural colors and hair must be able to be styled in a conservative style – no braids or extensions, etc…
