The feature film Speech & Debate is currently casting in the Jackson, MS area.

Speech & Debate is the story of three misfit high school students who revive an old Debate Club in order to take over their world. The Trio is united by their frustration with the hypocrisy of their parents, teachers and school board. In this teen comedy blogging, blackmail and Broadway drives the trio’s bond and creates a wickedly funny, smartly insightful and sympathetic story.

Sarah Steele who portrayed Marissa Gold in The Good Wife is set to star alongside The Killing alum Liam James. Janeane Garofalo of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will also star in the film alongside Kal Penn who portrayed Fontanelle in the TV series Battle Creek.

Casting Details

The casting team for Speech & Debate has released a casting call seeking extras to portray Hotel Guests in an upcoming shoot. The team is seeking extras between the ages of 21 – 100, male or female and is open to all ethnicities. Extras interested in being considered for the role must be local to the Jackson, MS area or willing to work as local hire in the Jackson area.
