Former WWE superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson along with 7 Bucks Productions teamed with HBO last year to create hit series, Ballers. Johnson has starred in several blockbuster films in the past year including Furious 7 and San Andreas, and will star in upcoming film Central Intelligence and Shazam! Johnson and HBO have begun production on Ballers in the Miami area and are seeking background actors to portray several non-speaking and featured roles in upcoming film shoots.
Johnson stars in this half hour comedy as a retired football player, Spencer Strasmore, who is trying to reinvent himself. Strasmore hopes to find the same level of success he found on the field as a financial manager to current and former athletes. John David Washington stars as Rickey Jerret, a highly competitive and spiritual NFL player always finding himself in more hot water than he can handle. Omar Miller stars as Charles Greane, a retired NFL player who is searching to no avail for his new and exciting career. Rob Corddry stars as Joe Krutel, Spence’s boss at Anderson Financial who gets into very big trouble trying to fit in.
The casting team with Miami talent casting is currently casting extras to portray several roles for the rest of season filming. The team is seeking male & female extras between the ages of 18-50.
