As if Netflix does not have a powerful lineup already, today they have announced that they have parented up with Marvel and Disney for their new superhero show The Defenders. The series will be produced by Marvel Television and ABC Television Studios and will run for at least 13 episodes. Taking place primarily in the gritty world of Hell’s Kitchen, the story will be a mini series that brings together the dream team of New York’s finest superheroes. The castings have not yet been announced but Disney and Marvel are taking applications for aspiring actors. This is a great chance for any actor that is looking for their big break. Many of you might remember the 2003 feature film starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Michael Clarke Duncan, Colin Farrell, and future Marvel mogul Jon Favreau. The film followed a blind lawyer who fights for justice in the courtroom during the day and as a masked vigilante on the street at night. The Defenders will join the success of such exclusive series as “House of Cards” and “Orange Is the New Black” .
Filming has not yet been scheduled but Disney and Marvel are now taking applications for male and female actors of all ages for feature, extra and stand in roles. I am a HUGE Marvel fan and I’ve grown up loving Disney. My first movies were all Disney. I still watch old animated movies from my childhood every once in a while. I would be proud to be part of this project and I am a 5″6′ 15 (16 this fall) year old brunette girl. I’ve been in theater since I can remember, (and have continuously been cast as the villain’s henchman). My first real play was 101 Dalmations, in which I played Jasper. I was in fourth grade. Also, when living in South Africa (where I was born), I was in a play called Dumela, and I was the sun, which was one of the larger supporting roles. I have a lot of experience with music and I play beginner guitar, piano, marimba, recorder, and alto saxophone as well as singing/songwriting. I took ballet, tap, and jazz when I was younger and in doing so performed to The Nutcracker countless times in many different roles, but I plan on taking hip hop classes soon, hoping to expand into less formal mediums of dance.

My name is Belen Morales I am 16 years old and currently living in California, the Bay Area to be exact.
