Disney Channel Movie Emerald Cove Casting Call
The casting directors for Disney Channel are currently seeking talent for a new Disney Channel Original Movie called Emerald Cove. Filming for Emerald Cove will begin in September 2015 in Vancouver, BC. The casting team is seeking to cast Principal Roles, Co-starring Roles, and Day Player Roles. Disney Channel casting directors will hold auditions in the Los Angeles area, all talent who are cast in Los Angeles will be relocated to Vancouver for filming.
Disney Channel Original Movie Details
Emerald Cove tells the story of a boy named Alex, who resents having to spend the summer with his whimsical father Kip who runs a sea adventure entertainment park in the middle of the desert. Eventually Alex realizes he has no choice but to settle into life at the park. He soon discovers a mermaid named Kaia has arrived at Emerald Cove on a special mission. He finds himself trying to keep her safe from the reality show hucksters who are on her trail, eventually he confides in his father that there is a mermaid at the park. Together with the rest of the Emerald Cove cast, they devise a plan to take Kaia back to the sea and set her free.
The casting team of Collin Daniel and Brett Greenstein are currently setting up auditions in Los Angeles for the lead roles of Alex, Kaia the Mermaid, Kip and Emerald Cove Employees. The casting team is seeking a boy between the ages of 8-14 to portray the role of Alex, a girl between the ages of 8-14 to portray Kaia the Mermaid and a man in his early 30s-40s to play the role of Kip – Alex’s father. Talent interested in auditioning for these roles do not have to be from the Los Angeles Area but must be able to travel to the audition location.

If you do not have a talent agent and wish to self-submit, please send your 8×10 Color Headshot and Resume along with a cover letter in a 9×12 Clear Full Face Window Envelope with the photo visible in the window.
The casting directors’ address should be written on the solid side of the envelope in capitol letter with the name of the project for which you wish to audition for written above the Director’s name. If the name of the character you wish to audition for is available it should also be written above the Director’s name and below the name of the project.
