ABC Family has another Continuing Fred a multi-camera sitcom that will follow slacker-turned-elementary-school-teacher Fred and her crazy family. The Simpsons‘ Dan Castellaneta will play Harry, father to Mimi Gianopulos’ Winifred “Fred” Harris. ABC Family is one of the most popular TV networks and it hopes to continue its success with Continuing Fred. The casting directors are now taking submissions for several supporting and stand in roles for the comedy, ABC Family has announced that they are taking applications for both union and non union actors of all ages. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring actors that are looking for their big break.
Continuing Fred is created by the director of Mike & Molly’s Bill Daly and will follow Winifred “Fred” Harris a new college graduate who moves back home with her suffocating parents and finds purpose in her life when she begins teaching at a local elementary school. Each week Fred will make audiences laugh as she argues with her loving parents/roommates and teaches and learns from her hilarious students. We have also learned that Mark J. Sullivan (As the World Turns) will play Fred’s brother Ben, Angelique Cabral (Happy Endings) will play Ben’s citified wife Jennifer and Asif Ali (Up All Night) will play Max, a childhood friend of Ben and Fred’s who’s also a teacher and a potential love interest for Gianopulos’ character.
