The new series of the hit Showtime series ‘Shameless’ will begin production very soon, and the casting directors are holding a casting call for extras in the Chicago, Illinois area. This will mark the fifth season of this Showtime series which stars such as William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, and so many more recognizable actors. Shameless is a well liked and followed show by the public, so being casted as an extra in this series can be a great way to build experience and recognition in the acting world.

For those who may not be familiar with Shameless, the show first aired in 2011 and centers a Chicago native named Frank Gallagher who is played by William H. Macy. Gallagher is a single father of six children that have found ways to grow up and be productive individuals despite their dad’s glaring drinking problem. The series follows this fun and crazy family as they struggle to cope with one another, but despite being loosely put together they still find a way to love each other and remain a family. Season five is set to air at some point in 2015 and it’s local fan base is already clamoring with anticipation.

Hello – I would really love to be an extra on Shameless.I lived in and around the Chicago area for quite a long time.I live a little farther south now , but in Illinois, still able to get to where ever you would need me to.I have a family of 8 and they are all interested, we’d travel there together if you needed all of us. When my family and I watch the show and always tell my family , I’ve seen this or that.There will be many people trying to be an extra , I can only hope that I get a call, it is so important to me. Because when you set your sights on something it becomes very important for a person to reach their goals. My entire family watches this show, we love it. I look at my emails several times through out the day and evening….so trust me – I will not miss one from your company. If I was picked I would be open to coming back again when ever I might be needed. Are you pushing send on my email yet?… lol.
