About the Movie and Role
The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara is an adaptation of David Kertzer’s Pulitzer Prize winning book. The film is for Amblin Entertainment and is about an Italian Jewish child, who is taken to be raised as catholic. Productions will start at the beginning of the year 2018 and the film will come out at the end of the year. Most of the production will take place in Bologna and other cities of Italy.
The role demands a strong and highly intelligent boy who is superb at acting and knows what are the requirements of the movie industry. Since it is based actual historical events, the boy’s acting will need to be extremely convincing. He will be working alongside the famous actor Mark Rylance.
