Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on Friday, December 8th in New York City. Producers are seeking actors to portray Young Artsy Party Goers for Starz series “Sweetbitter” based on the best selling novel by Stephanie Danler.
About
Sweetbitter, executive produced by Danler, Zicherman and Brad Pitt’s Plan B, is about 22-year-old named and her struggled after moving to New York City. Although she lands a job at a nice downtown restaurant, she is quickly introduced to the world of drugs, alcohol, love, lust, dive bars, and finds herself struggling to grasp her identity. She must learn how to navigate the chaotically alluring, yet punishing life she has stumbled upon. This is the story of a young woman’s coming-of-age, set against the rich and grimy backdrop of exclusive restaurants, evoking the possibility, beauty, and fragility of being young and adrift.
Brad Pitt has been in the industry since 1987 as an actor but he has recently transitioned into a producer and writer for new projects. He produced The Departed, 12 Years a Slave and The Tree of life, all considered classic movies of their genre.
