The second season of the post-apocalyptic horror TV series “The Walking Dead” has begun, and is auditioning for new talent. The show is receiving critical acclaim and praise for this season already being just as good if not better than the first season which is pretty impressive considering that in the first season alone the show was nominated for several awards.
It seems that zombies have become a rather popular fad these days, so it’s no surprise that the show has done so well in the past few years. The show follows a small group of survivors who now travel the US in search a place to call home and to find refuge from the hordes of undead. Yet even though they might find other survivors along the way it seems that everyone is now more concerned about their own survival and friends can be a hard thing to come by.
This second season continues the story by following the Grimes’ group of survivors leaving Atlanta, including the Greene family farm which was featured in the actual comic book series. The group continues it’s struggle for survival in a world where society itself has crumbled apart.
If you’d like to be an extra in this film please fill out an application. The show is always seeking more talent to be the “Walking Dead”. Talent have to bring a comp card or headshot to auditions if called back by the casting department. The casting directors will look through all submissions before booking talent. Auditions will be held as an open casting call and from then on talent will be booked for roles. Best of luck!

Hello, my name is Zoei Huntsman and I am a graduate of Barbizan which is an acting and modeling school that is based in Tampa Florida. I hope to be considered to be casted for a role in The Walking Dead because it is truly a great show to watch, it has been great to be able to watch all these characters grow and change in many ways since season one and it would be a great honor to be chosen to be on the show. One of my favorite things about the show is how close the characters are in the show, and even the actors who portray them seem to share that close bond. Even though The Walking Dead is based on a post Apocolyptic world, I think it still has many valuable lessons like always keep family first, and never turn your back on the people who are out to protect you. I enjoy watching The Walking Dead every Sunday night, it happily makes me forget about having to wake up early for school the next day, and it’s a nice break from reality. The show really helps me to realize how thankful I should be for everything and everyone I have, and to not take things for granted, because in the blink of an eye it could all be gone. I really love the show and am a huge fan, and being able to experience it with an actress’s point of view would be spectacular. The Walking Dead is pretty much the only show I watch on television anymore. I love this show. I’ve gotten my kids and granddaughter into it as well. I could be great with any part. I’ll learn. I knew about the show but i never got to watch it till this year i get the whole story because i started in season 1 and went on to today’s episodes.I fell in love with the show and i watch it with my cousins. Many people told me about the walking dead but i really didn’t Paid attention to them. My name is Kaitlyn Parr. I am 12 years old, female, 113 lbs, and 5 feet 3 1/2 inches, yes that half-inch counts. I would love for you to have me in the show. I have read the comics from the begin to the recent one which is issue 121. I started off reading them of begin of season 3 and I read them quickly. They are amazing and I will reread them if I have to. I do live fairly far from Atlanta. But my parents are looking for a new home and they are willing to move if I do make casting. I don’t have any on-screen experience, but I have been experienced in school plays. I can fit into any sort of roll; recurring,main, anything. I started off watching from season three, but after the first one I got season 1 and 2. I could really see the development in the characters and how they grew. Some broke and changed for the worse but changed back. Such as Carl. His mom death hit him pretty hard and he turned his sadness in aggressions. But he did change back. After the prison break and Carl thinking Judith is dead he turns into the person he was before. Aggression. He simply sees afterwards as rick “turns into a zombie” he finally realize that he cannot live on his own. I love the realistic effects, like the makeup or just the graphics. I would be perfect for the show. Whats needed in the show is the ultimate zombie prep to appear in the show. What they call BLACK OPS! I would be perfect because I have all the clothing needed for that part in the show. A brand name called 5.11. All black. The TV show is outstanding and I’m totally hooked. I am 38 yrs old and I’ve been an ‘extra’ in a few movies, one being “Secretariat” and the other was a zombie movie in the making. I loved sitting in the chair, watching the artist for hours as she ‘transformed’ me into this new zombie character and I want to experience that again. I am a HUGE fan of the Walking Dead, I’ve been following the show ever since my brother bought me the first season for Christmas.
My favorite character is Daryl Dixon because he’s a survivalist, he survives on raw squirrels and other things. he cares about the group in his own way and looks after them in his own way. He seemed to be for a long time, the only one who had took the end of the world for what it was and faced it without fear and started living, handling the whole ordeal much better than the others in my opinion .
He’s also just plain awesome with that crossbow.
In conclusion, I think it would be an amazing experience to just be an extra on the Walking dead and would be ecstatic if I was called to be a zombie if nothing else, I would work hard to work well with the directors and other cast and crew members. This has been a long time dream of mine that I hope can be fulfilled.

Hello, my name is Taylor Ashlynn Paymar I am 15 years old, a sophmaor in high school, and will be 16 this coming August. I am very interested in acting have been for as long as i can remember. I have been an on stage actress for only three years but have gone to Walter Trambuer Theatre Festival where i have scored five superior ratings, one good, and one excelent. I guess i first realized my passion ata fairly young age. After watching a movie I liked I’d put myself into that particular characters role, and by this I mean i would act just like them but bring my mindset to the situation. For example after my first viewing of the “Underworld” series I imediatley channeld my inner Selene this meant iI rolled around on the floor, punched, kicked, and yes even hissed like i where her imagining i was beating Lycaons. Being an extra would mean everything i live in Dekalb County, Northeast Alabama which made “The Walking Dead” so intriguing for the fact it’s set close to where I live. Sadly i have to move away from the school I am currently at and to a new school with no theatre. This would be an amazing experience I hope when casting I am in your thoughts.

Hello! My name is Skylar and it is my dream to be on The Walking Dead. I doubt that anyone will ever read this but, if Rick had given up due to his doubts, where would he be? I am 15 years old, I am a hard working student who has been in her school’s drama program for the past three years. I have chestnut brown hair, hazel/brown eyes, light skin and I am 5’9”. I have had portfolios and head shots taken before, since I was hoping to get into modeling and acting last year. Sadly, both times I applied to an agency, my family’s money was taken and we never heard from either agency again. Although I am very much into music, I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, but unfortunately do not have as much experience as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty to the The Walking Dead that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work their ass of to even get close to, and I desperately want this. Since I have studied this show so intensely and watched it religiously numerous times, I could mold my character to fit the others very quickly, and I would put my whole heart and sole into making people love my character as much as I have grown to love everybody else (plus I could do a darn good southern accent). If you choose me, I promise I will come at it with everything I have got, and then a whole hell of a lot more.

FIRST OF ALL, I am an enormous fan of this show.
My name is Camryn Capizzi,
I am very recently 19 years old (as of February 16th, 2013), I am fair/light skinned caucasian, with very curly fair blonde hair (I would be willing to temporarily straighten or dye my hair, even permanently dye it depending on the color), I have medium-big sized blue eyes (medium hue), I am 5’6″, 160 lbs, and have an apple-type body shape.
I have always love to perform and have an extensive performance resume, but most of all I perform musically. I have a youtube channel with only one song as of now. I have worked and performed with The (Paul Green) School of Rock in Chatham NJ and Vista CA for 5 years as of graduation last year, and work and perform with the Chops Woodshed Academy in Solana Beach CA for 1 year, and play many-multiple instruments proficiently, including vocals.

Although I am very much into music, I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, but unfortunately do not have as much experience as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty to the The Walking Dead that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work their ass of to even get close to, and I desperately want this. Since I have studied this show so intensely and watched it religiously numerous times, I could mold my character to fit the others very quickly, and I would put my whole heart and sole into making people love my character as much as I have grown to love everybody else (plus I could do a darn good southern accent). If you choose me, I promise I will come at it with everything I have got, and then a whole hell of a lot more.

Currently making coffee for all the “wonderful” people in Baltimore City and I’m just looking for more. Joined the military while I was in high school but that just wasn’t for me. Worked in the oil field for a little bit but that’s just such a nasty job. I was raised in tiny little town outside of Oklahoma City and moved here to Baltimore for something more. Haven’t found it and don’t think I will. Something I have found is a series on AMC that is outstanding in so many ways. Honestly don’t have any experience attached to some overpriced piece of paper aka degree. But I know I could be a valuable asset to the cast and crew. What I’m shooting for is an audition to become part of the cast. I have experience with weapons, work out every day, 6’3″ 155 pounds , average to above average in looks, great with people, patient, hard working, fast learner, I enjoy making people laugh, fetish for zombies (not the sexual way unless payed very well), confident in my ability to act, and will be on set on time no matter what the tempature or weather might be. If casting me wasn’t possible I would thoroughly enjoy helping the cast and crew on set in any way I can. I would be your go to guy. From episode one of The Walking Dead I became addicted but now I realize that I want to become a part of it. I’m a 23 year old nerd with great ideas and energy that I feel like is just being wasted. Never have I found a tv show that can come up in close comparision to my favorite show (The X-Files). I dare myself to say The Walking Dead is now my favorite, even above The X-Files! I absolutely cannot get enough of it!! Everytime I sit and watch an episode I think: “Wow…I sure wish I could be in that show!” I’d be anything…but I’d absolutely love to be a regular person. I’ve have had a lot of acting experience and after every show I’m in I have at least 5 people tell me that I’m one of the best actors the’ve ever seen. One time I had a line of people wanting to tell me that I did a great job. I was the show the Hobbit and played one of the main characters, Thorin Okenshield. Lol, not trying to be a buzz-kill or anything since I’ve only just started watching ‘The Walking Dead,’ but it would make the series even more interesting if you guys would add a kick-ass african american little almost 5 foot girl into the series. Like, I don’t know how you guys pick your characters. But if we were to get real here and a real zombie outbreak occurred, I’m letting you know I’m putting on my naruto leaf village headband, getting my swords [Kanatas], and going on a full out assassination mission and if I would of ran into the remaining cast of survivors and they wanted to know how the hell I survived. I would simply quote, “I watch a lot of anime” smile and continue killing zombies like a bad- ass. I’m just saying, if your audience or viewers saw that shit right there, you’re rating would sky-rocket. I would know because they’re are thousands and thousands of anime fans out there. Adding that simple character would raise the ratings but tons. I’m just saying.

The walking dead is one of the best zombie shows out there. It is even better than all the movies. I find the story line every interesting. It like i can actually feel like i am there. I cant stop watching the walking dead, its amazing. I watched every single zombie movie and show out there. Quiz me! I looked up everything you need to know about zombies. I am a zombie fan. I would know everything to survive for a zombie apocalypse. I care nothing about any other topic other than zombies. if someone brings up the word zombies i’m there. My greatest wish is to be in a zombie film, especially The Walking Dead. If i was on the walking dead, that would blow my mind away. I’m such a outgoing girl. Im only 18. The Walking Dead be in my mind 24/7 when i wake up i talk about it with my boyfriend who’s heard me talk about the walking dead all the time. A plus! i go to a Theater Arts School. I love to act. Acting allows me to be someone i always wanted to be. It gives me many different personalities to try. I find that so awesome, how acting you can be people your not, but still be you.

I believe that im a better actor than most; I also believe that if i can be intergated into the film in any role it would make the film even that much more realistic. I act all the time around my friends and family and they can never tell wether im acting /joking or not.I once scared my son into believing that i was choking and he got so scared he sarted crying and was gona call somebody for help (police/ambulance). my wife got so angry and sick of me acting i quit doing it at the house.!!

How’s it going? My name is James, and my experience is pretty much some acting throughout my grade school years. I’m extremely outgoing and a very good team player. I’ve always been a fan of the sci-fi shows and I’m totally stoked about The Walking Dead. Even before I saw the add for possible auditions, I saw the end of the season 2 finale and thought I would be a perfect fit to play one of the new characters coming into the picture. Although I am willing to try out for whatever is available, I have always swung for the fences. I am six feet tall and have a very built and defined look, at a 185 pounds. I have brown hair and brown eyes. Although I just turned 33, many people have said that I can definitely pass for my later 20′s, so I guess I would semi fit alot of the main cast descriptions. Just completed a Professional Stage Combat Course through my Actor Studio. Turns out I can die very differently with the way I fold my legs when I fall. The instructor asked if I could get back up from that position, which I can and did, and he said that would be awesome for a Zombie movie. I’m 6’1 about 185lbs. I’m 50 years old, although I’m always told I look younger. I’m a retired combat wounded vet. I did 14 years in the Marine Corps, and then another 8 years in the Fighting Navy Seabees. I’m good looking, even though I was severely wounded in combat and nearly died as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. I’m still very athletic, I know what it’s like to be a zombie, as I’ve played the role in real life. I have such a passion for performing arts!! The first thing I think about when I wake up is acting! I even have dreams almost every night about The Walking Dead! I have the ability to be anything I want to be when I put myself behind someone else’s eyes. I can show any emotion, because when I perform it is real, it is me, I am the character. If I could have the opportunity to work within this show as an actor or extra, or even just sit in and watch/ help out with extra things on set.. It would be a dream come true. This story has such a realistic and strong emotional effect! It follows the comic book well, and I feel that is important! I feel I could learn so much just by being on the set, let alone working on it! If this is a possibility, I would do anything it takes to get there!

I’ve always dreamed of acting but as I said, my mom did modeling before I was born and she worked for the standard 10% of wages earned per job. I was told your company charges to set up a profile up front. Like I said I work in law enforcement and to have money to drive close to 3 hours and and pay up front for pictures and a profile for my daughter and I would be to difficult to cover.

I’m a huge fan of the show for starters. It’d be an honor and privilage to work with Sarah Wayne Callies and Andrew Lincoln and the entire cast and crew. I’ll start describing myself with: I’m a small town Pennsylvanian boy, with a soft exterior but a rough and mangled core burning for some violence and brutal zombie descruction. I was brought up sorta like Darlye in the sense I can track, hunt, trap, fish. I’m more slender than anything, skinny would describe me well. I’m hot headed, and strategic. I don’t just jump the gun, I over analyze any sort of scenario and list my options. I would let democracy rein only in the case of zero panic. Hello Im Justin and I’m 15 years old turning 16 in 2 weeks. I love this show and find that the only good thing about Sundays is the WD. I have little experience with acting but would find it a great learning experience. In fact I’m ready for the infection to come, it may sound weird but it would actually be pretty fun. No more of people telling me what to do. Plus I could shoot guns every day! I’m very experienced with guns as well. Being able to be in this show would be awesome! My name is Miss Tiffany D. Simms and it has been my dream since probably around 1993 or so to be a ZOMBIE in a film. I fell in love with horror and the undead when I used to stay home Friday & Saturday nights with my mother watching TNT’s MONSTERVISION. “Night of the Living Dead” was constantly on. We also never missed an episode of “Tales from the Crypt”. As I grew older my love of blood and guts intensified. I am the “go to girl” at one of my favorite jobs, Blockbuster (Yeah some stores are still surviving) , whenever someone needs a horror pick. I never forget to mention the Walking Dead on AMC for all of those new horror lovers whom are unaware. Anyway, I was most pleased to discover AMC’s the Walking Dead and was so excited to learn that auditions will be held to be a zombie. This would be the best time in my life to do so. I am currently working about 4 jobs while I am awaiting a teaching position. I have worked hard in school to receive a degree in education but unfortunately, there are not many teaching jobs right now. I am a very good listener and always strive to be the best employee in all of my jobs. I know if I could just be given the chance, I will execute my employer’s desires of being a horrifying zombie. I have worked on stage before as a child and would love to just be part of a cast again. Even if it is walking slowly with bloody black drool leaking from my flesh-encrusted teeth. If I could just get my fifteen minutes of fame out of the way by zombie walking on a TV show, I could say I have lived a happy and fullfilled life. If you need credentials, I am happy to share that I took part in this year’s 2011 Zombie Walk in Asbury Park NJ. I used latex makeup and was pleased to find how real my zombie bite looked and how easy and fun it was to apply. I was also first on call to participate in the Atlantic City Expressway Zombie walk but they cancled it because of lack of participation. I was so heart-broken. So please, please, please, give me a chance to make my zombie walking dream come true. I’m trying to convince my fiance to have a halloween wedding where I will be a zombie bride, but he’s so not going for it!!!! My father won’t zombie walk me down the isle either. Maybe if I become an extra on the Walking Dead, it will convince them!!! Give me a chance! I will not dissappoint!
I’ll admit I never got into the whole zombie (people dead yet alive) get up but after watche The Walking Dead I have fallen head over heels in love with the show, effects, the cast, everything! I would be thrilled to be apart of this show. Even if it was a tiny 5 minute part. Im energetic and love being around people. I am a huge fan of the show. I never miss an episode. I originally read about the show quite a while before the original season in fangoria magazine. Once I read read the article I was waiting in utter anticipation. Zombie movies are by far my fovorite kind of horror movie and so needless to say , I love that there is a zombieseries I can enjoy. I have also been really interested in effects make up for a long time. Last month I even ordered a ton of make up effects stuff from Burman industries. I spent around 400 dollars on stuff like ulracal 30 , alpha dental alginate , bald caps , prosade , isopropyl myristate , chavant clay , gel A & B , ( because I don’t have a convection oven for doing foam prosthetics yet ) I even ordered a couple DVDs ( mark alfrey’s prosthetic make up for beginners and mark alfrey’s standard molds and castings ) I am so excited work on it untiI am able to sculpt and mold some realistic , uber gory zombie prosthetics. I have to say it took alot of research just to figure out what stuff to order and where to order it from seeing as I don’t have any body to consult on these matters. Just about every body that knows me well at all has at one time or another told I should act. ( not that I have some kind of delusions that I would be an actual actor on the show ) but I think I would have zero problems pulling off a really scary and believable zombie. I also would really enjoy the time spent in make up because I am so interested in that aspect of it. I also have recently relocated from Indianapolis and now live only a couple of hours away from Atlanta. My work schedule is also very flexible . I work for my dad who would totally support my taking off for a bit. Pleeeeeeeeeease consider me fir a role as one of your zombies !

My church does Thriller EVERY year in their production and I have acted and danced as a zombie for about 3 years. At Michael Jackson’s memorial in Gary, I was a zombie in Thriller. Hello i am Michael and i just wanted to say that the walking dead is one of my favorite zombie movies of all time hands down. I’ve been a follower of the walking dead since season one and i just found out about you needing extras. I think that i should be considered to be in the audition for the walking dead because i love zombies, I’m a HUGE fan of the walking dead, and i dress up as a zombie for parties and of course halloween. I’ve always wanted to be an extra in a film just so i can say ‘hey you see that guy? that guys me!’ hahaha I’m a pretty funny guy, i know how to take orders, and i follow directions. It would be a dream come true if i was able to be a zombie in the walking dead!!!

Although new to this industry, i have fallen in love with the escape from reality feeling i get when it comes to acting. I have a great energy and positive “can do” attitude! Hello Walkers! My name is Justin Asher. I am a 32 year old stage actor with seventeen years of experience under my belt. I have scoured the internet in search of information and contacts for auditions for this amazing show and until today have some up empty handed each and every time. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw this link today, and would do absolutely anything for an opportunity to get a shot at an audition! Why should you pick me? Well, Let me start with the fact that I am pretty tall. I am 6 ft 6 inches and tend to not blend in with a crowd. Due to my tall stature I tend to be cast as an antagonist. During one audition in particular I was told by the director “despite the fact that you take direction very well, no matter how gently I played the role, the others always looked like they were in danger because of my height.” That was a statement I was initially hurt by, but soon there after realized that I had a knack and a look for being a “bad guy” and have really come to enjoy the more menacing roles I have been cast in! Another reason I would be perfect for your show, I am a laid back southern boy who would not be out of place among the multitudes of southern characters in this spectacular show! Long story short I am a gentle giant who grew up loving Halloween a little too much and has an overly healthy obsession with acting. Thank you so much for reading my response. Hello, im 13 years old and I haven’t had as much of experience that every one else had in acting. I’ve been in a couple plays as the lead role and i’d think I’d be a good candidate because I Feel like I was born to act. I understand if you don’t want to audition me because I haven’t had a lot of time in acting, but I can make it up if you just give me, even the smallest chance to prove myself.
