The casting directors are looking for local talent to fill a variety of extras and background roles in this upcoming project. The new Amazon is set in 1918 and is about the life and times of Zelda Fitzgerald, a writer and wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald. The show stars filming in and around the Savannah, Georgia area beginning next week on June 16th. Since this is a period piece set in 1918, extras applying for the show must be able to fit into that time frame. Casting directors are seeking individuals with natural looks as well as soldier types. The roles do involve costumes and there are some sizing restrictions due to costumes. Please see below for all the details.
The show is a biography series about the life of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, Southern Belle turned flapper, writer and icon of modern feminism.
The show stars Christina Ricci as Zelda. Zelda is an 18 year old woman living in Montgomery, Alabama in 1918. She has a flamboyant side her stern father disagrees with and tries to squash. After Zelda meets novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald the pair embark on an adventure that will make them one of the most infamous couples of their time.
