Will Smith and his son has decided to do another Sci-Fi adventure movie called After Earth. Sony Pictures in association with Overbrook Entertainment have started on the production of the film that was previously titled “1000 A.E”. American filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan will direct After Earth from a screenplay written by Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, Syriana) and Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli). The movie will be distributed by Columbia pictres and is set to release in June 2013. The casting directors are looking to talent to play extras and day roles in the movie. After Earth is a good opportunity to work along side Will Smith and his son.
Will and his son Jaden Smith will be teaming up for this sci-fi tale that is set one thousand years after earth ending events forced the the humans to escape from Earth, and move to Nova Prime that has become mankind’s new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm hits and damages Cypher and Kitai’s craft, they crash-land on a now strange and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must make it across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.
The casting directors are now looking for extras and day roles to play in the new movie. They are looking for males and females ages 23 to 28. No prior experience is necessary.
