Casting Call for “Mamma Mia” Musical

Mamma Mia is one of the most prestigious musicals of all time and it is now casting. The directors are currently looking for male singers to fill several roles. This is your chance to be apart of the musical that has been in production all over the world since the 90’s.

The following roles need to be filled before production and rehearsals start. If you have singing, acting, or background abilities apply as soon as you can.

Roles

1: Sky

He is Sophie’s fiancé and a former stockbroker who is thoroughly worn out by the cutthroat world of Wall Street.

2: Pepper and Eddie

They are two of Donna’s employees. They make up the waiters, bar-staff, boatmen and general help around the Taverna. They are both well mannered men.

3: Sam Carmichael

An architect by profession that forever regrets leaving his girlfriend.

4: Harry Bright

He is an English banker.

5: Bill Austin

Bill is an Australian and a famous traveling writer. He is scared of making commitments.

6: Father Alexandrios

He is the minister of the island.

7: Male Ensemble:

We also require people who will make the male ensemble for this musical. Get in touch with the Casting Director to find out more about this.

Audition Guidelines:

We are looking for male actors/singers/dancers.

Age group is 18-50 years old.

No restrictions on ethical/racial backgrounds.

All interested candidates must bring their headshots/ resume with them as well.

Remember to bring your Equity Membership Cards when you come for auditions.

$751/week will be paid to those who make the cut.

Important Dates:

The first rehearsal of the show will be held on January 19^th, 2018.

The first performance of the show will be on February 8^th, 2018.

The show will continue all the way from February and will have its closing show on April 30^th, 2018.

All interested actors, dancers and singers must get in touch with the Casting Director of this musical before July 25^th. The auditions will be underway from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an hour in between for lunch from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

Candidates who are AEA members can call the Casting Director and schedule their appointments starting from July 18^th, Monday. Make sure to place the calls only between 9:00 Am to 12:30PM and 3:00PM to 4:30PM.
